"God creates men, but they choose each other." -- Niccolo Machiavelli

Welcome to Pasture Point.  We hope the following is a list of services, activities, and other information will ease your transition into Hampton’s finest neighborhood.

Neighborhood Information -- Get Involved

We have some great opportunities to get involved with the neighborhood, meet your neighbors, and just generally make a difference in the quality of life here.  A couple of suggestions:

  1. Join the Neighborhood Watch Program.  This is a new program for Pasture Point, but it is making a difference.  It is helping to keep the neighborhood safer and your property values higher.  We still need a couple of Block Captains for a few small areas of the neighborhood.  For more information contact Phil at 650-5417.

  2. Join the Beautification Committee.  This committee was actually the beginning of the Pasture Point Neighborhood Association.  We are currently working with the City on the development of River Street Park.  For more information contact Tamara at 224-2437.  Click here for more information.

  3. Join the Entertainment Committee.  This committee organizes the food and refreshments for our regular association meetings.  This committee also organizes all the social activities of the neighborhood, like our picnics, yard sale, and receptions.  For more information contact Mary at 723-8815.

The Fun Stuff -- Not Necessary But Great to Enjoy

Downtown Hampton (within easy walking distance of our neighborhood) hosts a number of activities throughout the year that are one of the great things about living in Pasture Point.

Hampton Bay Days

Held every year the first weekend after Labor Day weekend.  This three-day festival brings thousands of visitors to downtown Hampton.  While the festival is a lot of fun and well worth attending, it can be tedious for those of us who live close by.  Traffic in and out of downtown is restricted or blocked throughout the weekend, and expect cars that you have never seen to be all over our driveways, yards, and streets.  To keep the festival goers out of your driveway (especially on Saturday night when they have the big fireworks display), you will need to put some kind of barrier up.  Otherwise, it is just one of those things you grin and bear once a year to live in such a great location.
